Environmental Lab
In order to guarantee the correct execution of their work, TECNOMA’s laboratories adopt a Quality Assurance System that is tailored to the requirements of ISO Standards 17025 regarding laboratory testing and 17020 regarding inspection activities. The central laboratory in San Sebastián de los Reyes has been certified in both these areas by ENAC, the Spanish National Accreditation Organisation [Entidad Nacional de Acreditación ENAC] (with numbers 366/LE523 and 114/EI211, respectively), The laboratories in Murcia and Seville have been certified in the field of laboratory testing (with numbers 366/LE1066 and 366/LE1279, respectively).
The laboratories implement a systematic program of internal quality control, a part of which consists of participation on comparison trials on international programs (AQUACHECK and QM, UK; BOKU, University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Science, IFA-Tulln, Austria; Analytical Products Group, Nederlands Meetinstituut, Holland; LEAP, Central Science Laboratory, UK).
Furthermore, all the laboratories employ an Environmental Management System that is certified in accordance with ISO Standard 14001.
At the national level, TECNOMA has been declared by the Spanish Ministry of Environment as a Collaborating Organisation of the Water Administration Authorities in regard to the control and monitoring of water quality and the management of spills into the public water domain (code E.C. 009/1 and 2 gd/AT).
At the autonomous region level, TECNOMA has been included in the Register of Collaborating Organisations in regard to water quality kept by the Aragon Water Institute, managed by the Government of Aragon, with number REC-16. It has also been included in the Register of Collaborating Organisations of the Public Authorities in regard to environmental quality kept by the Council of Industry and the Environment of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, with number 181/05.
In the field of Public Health, TECNOMA’s laboratory in San Sebastián de los Reyes is authorised by the following Public Bodies:
- General Directorate of Public Health and Public Involvement of the Ministry of Health of the Regional Government of Andalusia, being entered in the Register of Public Health Laboratories of Andalusia with number A.407/III in the section of Authorised Laboratories and number AC.408/III in the section of Accredited Laboratories.
- Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs, of the General Directorate of Public Health, Food and Consumer Affairs of the Autonomous Region of Madrid, being entered in the Register of Laboratories in the Autonomous Region of Madrid that carry out analytical controls of nutrients/ foodstuffs with registry number 15ABC/M, in the sections of Laboratories Authorised for Automated Analytical Control and Accredited Laboratories.
